Moto 360 Review FULL Review (Updated with lots of pics!)

The Moto 360 is easily the most attractive smartwatch in the current market.  Not only does it look and feel the most like an actual watch in comparison to its competition, but its design is simple, elegant, and beautiful.   From the stainless steel case, to the Horween leather band, and even the fancy packaging, this "watch" is the most impressive, and comfortable device that I've ever worn on my wrist. Left: ipod Nano - Middle: Moto 360 - Right - Accutime standard Watch In terms of size, the Moto 360 is comparable in size to many standard watches.   Next to my normal watch, its just slightly thicker, and actually feels lighter.  It's very close in size to Apple's ipod nano, but with a much bigger screen.  Speaking of that display, it's a 1.45" 320 x 290 backlit LCD display with a ppi of 205, and covered with Corning Gorilla glass 3.  The weight is a very light 49g, and itls rated at ip67 for water resistance.  It will survive the rain, ...

Plants vs Zombies clone lands on Windows tablets: Trolls VS Vikings

For all of you Plants vs Zombies fans who also happen to be fans of Windows tablets, the wait is over!  Trolls VS Zombies is a high quality clone of that game, and just as fun!  The game hit the Windows store recently, and is a free with the option for in app purchases. The game plays similarly to Plants vs Zombies 2.  In the place of the plants, you have the "lovable" trolls who are defending themselves from the greedy Vikings that want to steal their gold.  The game starts simply enough with slingshot trolls that are nearly identical to the pea shooting plants from PvZ, building up to mining trolls who dig up moonstones, (similar to the sunflower bringing sunshine in PvZ) and so on.  The game has 70 levels, and there are plenty of trolls to collect in the main game with various abilities to protect you from the equally varied Vikings. In app purchases consist of magic powers, moonstones, as well as certain trolls.  For those of you who don't mind i...

Wozniak is right. What is Apple afraid of?

Recently, Apple Inc. co-founder  Steve Wozniak made ripples in the news due to his opinion that Apple should look into making an Android device .  While many agreed with him, many also derided him for stating his opinion.   Personally, I fall somewhere in the middle on this.  In my opinion, all Apple needs to do is create a "Boot Camp" app for iOS and let third parties (such as  Cyanogen Inc.) handle the rest. Before some of you pick up your pitchforks and torches, Apples current success is the result of loosening their grip on many of their restrictive policies over the years.  I'll give some examples: Apple releases iPod and iTunes to Windows (eventually switches to USB instead of just firewire):    Massive success for Apple. Apple drops mandatory DRM on AAC files: Massive success for Apple. Apple switches from PPC to Intel chips:   Massive success for Apple. Apple adds Boot Camp for Dual Booting with Windows on ...

Find My iPhone for iOS devices With one in five people in the world currently owning a smartphone , it has become a goldmine in recent year for thieves to make quick cash by stealing and reselling those android and iphones.  At this time of year with the hustle of the holiday shopping spree, it's very easy to fall prey to an opportunistic pickpocket or even to simply forget your device somewhere due to the many simultaneous thoughts juggling to your mind.  Luckily, both Apple and Google have both provided native solutions for the average user so that they can fight back against these scenarios. Android Device Manager for Android devices Both " Find my iPhone " and " Android device Manager " can be located in the App store and the Google Play store for free.   Both apps provide a way to locate your device on a map, lock your device, Ring your device even if the sound is off, and/or wipe your device from either running the app on another device, or th...

SNK Classics on sale for iOS and Android

In the late 80's and early 90's, the Neo-Geo arcade/home console was easily the most expensive console ever made.  The reason being that the games that were available for the home console were the identical games that one found at the arcade.  While $500+ games were definitely not affordable for the average family, SNK did have its market and the Neo-Geo outlived many other consoles.   During its run, many classic fighting and shoot-em-up series were introduced.  Many have been ported to the current consoles in collections but the great thing is that now these games are available on the go and are far more affordable than they ever were in the past. The Google play store and The iTunes Store are currently discounting a great selection of SNK Playmore games as listed below. The King of Fighters-i for iOS  for  99 cents Blazing Star for iOS  or  Android  for  99 cents The King of Fighters '97 for iOS  or  Android ...
