Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies Review (Lifesperience Blog)

As a fan of the "Ace Attorney" series since first hearing about "that lawyer game" on the original Nintendo DS, I am saddened that this game has been released as a digital only title.  That is the reason that this is such a late review of the product from me.  I refuse to buy from Nintendo's eshop due to their anti-consumer policies.  Especially when it comes to full price titles like this.  At $30, this is definitely not in the forgettable "Angry Birds" 99cent territory or even in the Square-Enix $7-$15 territory.  Granted, this is an entirely new game.  It's not a completely fair comparison BUT, Android and iOS don't tie your games to a single hardware device.  There are two 3DS machines in my home, a standard 3DS and an XL model.  This game was downloaded on the 3DS but I would have loved to play on the XL.  Sadly, because it has a different family members account on it, that was not possible without difficulty.  With a physical r...

Will Nintendo adapt and make the Wii U profitable?

With Nintendo announcing that this is their third year of losses , many are calling for them to get out of the hardware business and to start porting their games over to other platforms.  I happen to feel differently about that.  Considering that I've seen Nintendo make some amazing comebacks in the past with the DS, 3DS, and Wii, my belief is that with some tweaks, the Wii U could be successful or at least profitable.  Read on for my ideas. The 3DS/2DS Nintendo has hinted that it's possible , and it needs to be a reality asap.  Make the 3DS/2DS compatible a...

Nintendo Holiday Deals

For those of you last minute shoppers who have been on the fence with the latest Nintendo systems, there are some pretty nice sales on them this week. With a pretty solid line up of upcoming games (Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Bayonetta, Watch Dogs, Monolith Softs "X", and Dragon Quest) the Wii U is finally a system worthy of consideration at the current deal prices. The 3DS has a solid line up from Street Fighter 4, to Metal Gear, to Kid Icarus, to Phoenix Wright, etc... there is something for just about everyone on this system. Of course, we don't know what type of deals we will see after the holidays just yet, however, if you need to pick something up before Xmas, then these are pretty good deals. Happy Shopping!!
